Los Angeles, Nov 22 Actress Anne Hathaway spoofed Kate Middleton to perfection on Saturday Night Live. On SNL, Tina Fey takes the cake for portraying Sarah Palin in all her glory and Anna Hathaway came very close to that level of perfection.Apart from the impending Princess, all the other members of the Royal family were also impersonated and spoofed on the show. It ought to be mentioned that recently Prince William announced his engagement to Kate Middleton and also gave her Princess Diana’s ring. According to reports, they are planning to wed next year.
Other Royal family members who were not spared included Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Phillip and even Prince William. In the spoof, the royals were shown to be talking in ‘trash’ once Prince William was not in the vicinity. They were mocking the Kate Middleton over her middle class roots and her aspirations to be a future royal bride.
Prince Phillip’s character was portrayed by Bill Hader and he said with reference to the Duchess of York that, “When it comes to being a wife, when you’re out there waving to a parade, you be Princess Di you be Princess Grace. But in the bedroom think Fergie.”
